A tropical magic, that is certainly how best we could describe Coco Palm. Located on
Dhuni Kolhu Island , part of the Baa Atoll, Coco Palm, is certainly the ultimate hideaway in the Maldives .
Set on a beautiful island, the resort is fringed by white sand beaches, dressed with luxurious tropical vegetation, and hosts a blue crystal water lagoon for the enjoyment of a vast range of water sports.

Coco Palm features delightful thatched villas, either dotted amongst palm trees in carefully planned tranquility, or elevated on stilts on the lagoon, with only sea and desert island as scenery.
Beach villas and Deluxe villas have open air garden bathrooms, for showers under the stars or the sunrise.
Deluxe villas are complemented with a sunken bath in the open-air bathroom, and a plunge pool on the outdoor terrace. A four-poster bed with mosquito net enhances the romantic mood of the villas.

The exotic aromas of spices and fragrant blooms combined with the gentle sound of soothing music will bathe the senses and lull you in to a state of bliss. Diving

Known in many parts of the world as a diver’s paradise, the Maldives with its warm tropical weather all year round and a large variety of colorful fauna and flora is a divers dream come true. The Dive Center on Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu caters for beginners and experienced divers alike, and provides various levels of PADI Certification. In addition, our instructors speak a range of languages including English, Japanese, French and German. With access to numerous dive sites a diversity of diving experiences in guaranteed. Sightings of Sharks and Manta Rays are not unusual during the season and a lucky diver may even have the privilege to come face to face with a Whale Shark. For those guests wishing to learn to dive a medical certificate may be required. Please see the link below to review medical form and conditions which require medical approval to dive. Remember that without your diving certification you will not be able to dive.

Activities

A wide variety of activities and sports await those guests who yearn for exercise while on vacation. Lovers of the sea can enjoy snorkeling, sailing and windsurfing (Private lessons and courses are also available for those who wish to take a new interest). For land sport enthusiasts we offer tennis, badminton, volleyball and aerobics (upon request). Fitness needs are met by a workout in the Gymnasium located in the Recreation Center . Less strenuous options include table tennis, snooker or the library where a selection of books, satellite television and an internet connection are available.

A variety of choices are available including a private picnic on a desert island, Classic Movies for two under a Maldivian Sky, Dinner Under the Stars, overnight in your own Lagoon Palace Suite, an evening in a Maldivian home or a private breakfast for two under a pergola on a sandy beach. Weddings

A traditional Maldivian wedding ceremony in the romantic setting of Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu creates a unique and special memory for a couple to share and treasure. This is the ideal occasion for renewing vows or having a private and intimate wedding celebration. The service is held at sunset on a desert island beach in the shelter of a hut made from coconut trees and leaves. A traditionally dressed minister, witnesses and friends wait with the bride for the groom to arrive on a Dhoni (traditional sailing vessel) who is then carried to the beach. The ceremony is celebrated according the local traditions with a dowry and exchange of vows and rings. The melodious “bodu beru” drums of the local fishermen accompany the couple on their journey back to their villa. All guests are invited to enjoy the drums ceremonial dances and participate in toasting to the happiness of the couple with Kurumba local coconut. In the evening a barbeque dinner is served to the Bride and Groom in the privacy of their villa and the following day a coconut tree planting ceremony is arranged for the happy couple.
