Ishmeet Singh - Star Voice of India winner dies in the maldives

Ishmeet Singh – Star Voice of India winner dies in the Maldives today.

The cause of his death was drowning according to official news sources. Some also suspects that the cause of death might have been due to damages to his head from a dive into the swimming pool (That was from TVM). Ishmeet Singh was reported to have been staying in a Resort Island ( Chaaya Island Dhonveli ) in the Maldives.

According to the Assistant Manager of Chaya Dhonveli Maldives, Mr. Malan Robert,

Ishmeet Singh was in the swimming pool along with his friends. None of them could swim! He was in the (Shallow Pool – Baby pool) and was asked not to get into the Deep pool. However, he went to the deep pool. He taking too much time got his friends worried and they informed the hotel and found him drowned.

The doctor from ADK hospital in Male’ confirms the cause of death as drowning and did not point out any damages to his head as speculated earlier.

National Police Services is investigating the matter along with the Hotel.

    BTW, did someone notice this…
There is no coverage of this in newspapers even though the news was being telecast on TV….I have gone through Times of India and DNA and there was no mention at all about his death :( (
…and it was not that late that the newspapers didn’t get time to add this news item in their columns.
    Poor journalism.

We are all Praying for your family.. and We need to know what really happend.. Why was he swimming in a pool if he could not swim!?? RIP xxx

  14. Ishmeet’s untimely death is very shocking and sad news for all noble hearts. “I have some big projects lined up. And I am happy that God has put me on right path. Soon I will take a big leap and go high.” Said Ishmeet Singh talking to TOI at Chandigarh never knew that what is big leap and high in store for him? Here we are helpless and have to surrender to HIS wishes as who can chant (God’s) knowledge whose study is arduous. The demand of an inquiry into the drowning accident as to know what were the circumstances leading to his death took place so suddenly and carelessly is genuine at least in order to take preventive measures for the future blossoming stars of any field like him. Such an inquiry is a need of hour along with praying that God bless his soul. A few words expressed for the gem on his very sorrowful untimely death especially for the consolation of his parents and other family members by Balbir Singh Sooch, his family and friends.

  18. sandeep singh says:

iit was shocking news that ishmeet was dead.it was a big loss of hindi n punjabi film industry.
he was a gr8 talent n he was first stylish sabat surat sikh singh singer,he has proven that sikh can do
    anything.it was a big tragedy.we cant listen him more………
may god give him peace to his soul…..
    u r still alive n u r in our heart
    v ll love u n ur family….v missing u ishmeet…………

  19. I Cannot believe that Ismeet singh is no more with us……..it is ashockin news….I still couldnt believe this,I\\\\\\\’m really feeling sad for ismeet\\\\\\\’s death. may ur soul rest in peace. i miss you alot ismeet

  20. M. Waqas Abid says:

I am vry sad to hear this, as he is quite young boy, and quite talented one, my condolence to his family, may he rest in peace :(

  21. AJ says:

#1. I can tell you with 100% confidence that people can end up with water in their lungs after drowning. People do not end up with injuries or invasive wounds on their heads. Ishmeet was wounded on his forehead severely when his body was recovered.
#2. This resort is supposed to have Life guards present for protection of their guests at pool side at all times. There was no one around to help Ishmeet. NO ONE. EVERYONE DECIDED TO TAKE LUNCH AT THE SAME TIME????
#3. A person who is not confortable swimming will NEVER attempt swimming alone. Ishmeet was a quiet calm person, not exactly rebellious, daredevil type, who will engage in some stupid stunt for attention. He was too mellow to attempt this.
#4. Ishmeet was swimming with his freinds. How come no one attempted to save him? Question is: WERE THEY REALLY FREINDS?
#5. Ishmeet had been attacked 2 weeks before this incidence, while in a car. His car was repeatedly hit by another car- demonstrating a wreckless attempt by someone to harm Ishmeet.
#6. Ishmeet was NOT your average human being. He touched hearts of BILLIONS everywhere. he made BILLIONs smile. People liked him as a COMPLETE yet SIMPLE person NOT just his singing.
#7. Lastly, we cannot keep living in this depressing pseudo-democracy where such injustice goes unnoticed. It’s not just about Ishmeet; it’s about the sick system we live in.

  22. Sukhdeep Dhillon says:

tIshmeet parmatma thodi ruhh nu sani bkhse . vishvas hee nahi ho reha ki Ishmeet sede vich nahi hai.

  23. ren says:

I just read about this and I am shaking from the news….. He was only a 19 year old boy… omg it is sooo sad …. may he rest in peace! and his family given the strength to go on with this pain..

  24. silu says:

May your soul rest in peace Ismeet

  25. ria from bangladesh says:

i still couldn’t believe that ishmeet is no more…. i know how painful it is to loose someone close to one’s heart…may ur soul rest in peace. the whole bangladesh is in deep shock..in every school, in every colleges, in universities everybody is talking about this.. still we couldn’t believe…our deepest condolense to ishmeet’s parents…love u ishmeet.

  26. Where were Ishmeet’s friends at the funeral?’ The destructive jealousy factor might be one of the reasons of the planned and created circumstances leading to the death of Ishmeet Singh can not be ruled out so lightly. We should not forget that an innocent child could be used in such planned and created circumstances, knowing very well that so and so would surely behave in the fashion under the circumstances which are always meant for his death and so on under the different similar cases of conspiracy. Moreover, the colleagues of Ishmeet in the interview on the day were looking suspicious and tutored judging by their body language, face culture and they only said in the interview whatever they might be tutored to say legally. Mika rightly said, “Only Abhijeet dada and Hans Raj Hans were present at the funeral. Where were Ishmeet’s friends and colleagues from various shows? Was the absence of friends and colleagues only to avoid the exposure of as to what extent the destructive jealousy factor obviously running against Ishmeet Singh for causing his death used for interview in the manner as a cover up or only their absence for the security reasons would be the pet reply suiting under the circumstances? Mika’s query is not without substance as he understands fully the dangerous aspect of destructive jealousy factor in music industry as well. The independent high level inquiry would be the only answer to set all speculations in right perspective at least in order to take preventive measures for the safety of the future blossoming stars of any field like him.
